Written by Knichel Logistics | August, 4, 2021

We are thrilled to announce that Knichel Logistics has, once again, made the Women in Trucking Association's list of Top Woman-Owned Businesses in Transportation!

Criteria used to identify qualified applicants for this honor include majority ownership by a woman, financial stability and growth, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit. Each company was nominated and chosen based upon business success and accomplishments–including those related to gender diversity.

“As women continue to increase their numbers in transportation, recognizing those who are growing their businesses and attracting the best talent is part of our mission. The Top Woman-Owned Businesses are those who embrace diversity while promoting women in leadership roles. We applaud their efforts and the success they have achieved,” says Ellen Voie, Women In Trucking Founder, President and CEO.

“We are extremely proud of the 2021 Top Woman-Owned Businesses in transportation winners. They have a proven track record of success and are of the highest caliber of leaders in the industry. Criteria for selection includes: status as majority ownership of a woman; financial stability, growth, and innovation; and the entrepreneurial spirit of its woman owner,” says Brian Everett, Publisher of Redefining the Road magazine.

CEO and President, Kristy Knichel, whose career spans over 20 years in the transportation industry, has focused on being a voice and advocate for women within the logistics community, in addition to mentoring other women in business.
